CANAAN CHRISTIAN LIFE CENTER

The Family Life Center (FLC) and Canaan Baptist Church are separate entities. The program maintains a collaborative relationship with Pastor Derick Brennan and Canaan Baptist Church. The church is a great resource for potential volunteers. The church provides tangible resources for the program.

Founded as an organization in August 2007, the Canaan Family Life Center, Inc. aims to assist the residents and families of the Greater Germantown area of Philadelphia by providing the missing services and resources necessary for a better quality of life for the citizens of this community. With focus under the direction of an Executive Director and support staff, the FLC will provide outreach services, clothing services, food services and education, enrichment services and the four (4) initial areas of assistance for this community.

Mission Statement
The Canaan Family Life Center is a non-profit organization comprised of three empowerment centers focusing on family, economics, and education. The empowerment centers are dedicated to empowering and restoring lives of the people in the Germantown and Greater Philadelphia area connecting them with those human, economic and education service resources that will strengthen the community.

Vision Statement
The Canaan Family Life Center provides a diverse program to all on need regardless of race, gender, nationality, religion, or ethnicity. The center enables individuals to acquire those skills, services and goods that are necessary to become independent and vested stakeholders within their community. Through supportive outreach the following services are provided:

Counseling
Education
Job Training
Incarceration Re-entry Assistance
Emergency Food and Clothing
Housing Assistance
