Community InvolvementCanaan’s commitment to Godly stewardship extends beyond the congregation and walls of the church. We partner with a number of service organizations to help improve the lives of those in the surrounding community and beyond.
Sisters Returning Home Mentoring ProgramSisters Returning Home assists women who are returning citizens from prison to the community by successfully re-establishing their connection to their families and community. The 501 3© non-profit organization helps build and develop self-sufficiency, self-esteem and self-respect and works with the women to develop a comprehensive set of life skills.
Sisters Returning Home offers a comprehensive program designed to fully transition previously incarcerated women back into society. Programming focuses on developing confidence and responsible habits in addition to computer literacy training and employer expectations.
